National 2009
Chicago, IL
The show site at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center was fantastic. The art work and the waterfall in the middle of the room was a site to see.
So many guests I really believe the dogs made their day..
There was grass along the edge which made it easy to get to so our guys could potty. I don’t know who was in charge of grounds, what a great job they did, I never saw on poop anywhere. The dogs had to wear belly bands or little panties. Most everyone was very good about it. Hope we left a good feeling with the Hotel.
I don’t know what beds they have but not once did I wake up with a back ache. :O)
The seminar with Dr Hutchinson was wonderful, if anyone ever has a chance to attend one it is a must.
There were box lunches each day and they were good, sure made it nice that we didn’t have to go into a restaurant, this way we didn’t miss a thing.
The seating was great, I don’t believe there was one seat that no one could see anything and they were comfortable.
I’ve been to Nationals that we had bleachers, you know what that does to your butt and back <grin>
The souvenirs were great and reasonable, I got more than I had planned on because of this. The raffles and auctions went on every day. Be interesting as to how much the clubs and HRI made.
The HRI auction is something never to be missed. They had food and drinks for all. (Food was wonderful) The vendors and HRI tables had many things to choose from… Wish I could have bought more even then I was just shy 1lb in my luggage going home.
After a few class’s of judging I could actually see the consistancy that Mr Biven was choosing. WD & WB are very nice and the BOB what a standout. Breeder/Owner/Handler won BOB… <smile> When I see this it makes my day. The dog did not get lost in the crowd.
Who ever missed the National I sure hope you can make it next year. The beautiful dogs, meeting new friends and old.
Oh yes and the Logo looks really nice on all the souvenirs. <smile>
